Next Education India Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in K–12 education and a leading education solutions provider, once again collaborates with IIT Bombay to conduct two MOOCs for school teachers. It aims at enlightening teachers with teaching aids and methods which will enable them to simplify the learning process for students. The courses will commence on 5 October 2017 and will be open for all teachers across India.
The primary focus of the courses: ‘Pedagogy for effective use of ICT for school teachers’ (MOOC 1) and ‘Pedagogy for effective use of ICT for CS school teachers’ (MOOC 2) is to make the teachers technology-ready and equip them with the latest technology in hand to implement it in the classroom. It will essentially be for the teachers who use TeachNext in the classrooms, so as to provide them with details regarding various tools such as interactive questions, videos, simulations etc.
On the collaboration with IIT Bombay, Mr Beas Dev Ralhan, CEO & Co-founder, Next Education India Pvt Ltd, said, "The success of the first workshop and the enthusiasm of teachers across India in the courses encouraged us to organize it one more time in order to reach out to more teachers. To be able to guide teachers and apprise them of the cutting-edge technology, and to make them understand its real time implementation and effectiveness in the classrooms, give us immense pleasure and motivation to share the knowledge in hand."
The courses aid to develop a collaborative community of teachers to share their best practices and experiences and to identify relevant ICT tools to achieve teaching-learning goals. The courses also help teachers to adopt relevant programming languages to teach Computer Science in classes, enabling students to grasp concepts better.
The workshop will be in continuation to the previous MOOCs conducted in April this year, during which, we witnessed an enrollment of 553 teachers from 127 cities, spread across 27 states. Encouraging response and popular demand have prompted us to launch this program again.
The courses will be conducted by professors of IIT Bombay and the participants will be given certificates once the courses conclude.
