FLAME University Partners With IUBS For Global Climate Education

FLAME University, in collaboration with the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS), is promoting climate literacy through culturally appropriate pedagogy

FLAME University is partnering with the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS) to create a global network of environmentally conscious educators. The Centre for Sustainability, Environment and Climate Change (CSECC) at FLAME University will provide over 800 scientifically vetted resources and a repository of 370+ lesson plans and 530+ teaching tools across 10 disciplines. 

The Trans-disciplinary Research Oriented Pedagogy for Improving Climate Studies and Understanding (TROP ICSU) project aims to make quality climate change education accessible to all.

The TROP ICSU project by IUBS aims to integrate climate change resources into global education, empowering future generations with the necessary knowledge and skills. This strategic collaboration strengthens FLAME's leadership in environmental education, ensuring comprehensive climate literacy for students and educators worldwide.

The TROP ICSU platform, a free-to-use initiative, aims to create a global network of environmentally conscious educators. It provides over 800 scientifically vetted resources for teachers and students worldwide, 370+ lesson plans and 530+ teaching tools across 10 disciplines, including Humanities, Chemistry, Geography, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics.

FLAME University's CSECC has conducted numerous TROP ICSU workshops, promoting environmental awareness and education through culturally appropriate pedagogy and a locally rooted yet globally pertinent approach, reaching a wide audience and ensuring global accessibility.

FLAME University and IUBS are partnering to educate teachers and students about the importance of preserving the planet. The TROP ICSU project aims to make the world a greener, better place. Established in 1919, IUBS has facilitated partnerships between scientists, institutions and organisations worldwide.
