Dharmendra Pradhan Retains Education Portfolio In Modi's Third Term

Dharmendra Pradhan is one of the names that will retain the same portfolio on PM Modi’s new team. He has served in petroleum, natural gas, steel and skill development in previous ministries. 

In the recent General Elections, Pradhan defeated the BJD candidate by significant votes in Sambalpur, Odisha. He is the prime face of the BJP in the state politics of Odisha and is considered the hero of recent BJP’s recent victory in the assembly election. 

The Education Ministry is divided into two departments; the Department of School Education & Literacy and the Department of Higher Education.
