Throwing Light Upon IIM-Bangalore’s Glory

If you look at Indian Business Schools in totality, you will find that we have 3 MBA schools being ranked in the list of top 50 global prestigious MBA institutes, to begin with.

Prof Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore talked about the working ethos and management at IIM-B at Future Of Management Education Conclave hosted by BW Education.

“IIM-B’s vision has always been to be a global, renowned academic institution fostering excellence in management, innovation and entrepreneurship for business, government and society,” explained the Director. Though a challenging vision but still professor claims to be pursuing excellence in education and thought-provoking leadership qualities simultaneously, without making any tradeoffs within this renowned institute.

Krishnan's deep understanding of India's innovation system has proven useful apart from the fact that he has worked on issues crucial to India such as innovation and data privacy.

Scrutinizing ways of coming out with flying colours effective from this pandemic time, Krishnan claims that, “one of the thrust areas will be focusing on strong research skills of the faculty (IIMB has 100 faculty members) on some of the key problems faced by the country. "We are in the process of identifying two or three areas such as health, MSMEs or urban issues and put our research engine to play and come up with big ideas, useful policy and programme recommendations, both for the government and the businesses."
