Amity Business School, Amity University Noida, organized the 7th Edition of Technology Conference “INFINITY 2024” on the theme “AI and Beyond: Shaping the Future of Intelligent Systems” on 19th and 20th November. The conference aimed to showcase academic and corporate viewpoints on Artificial Intelligence through various discussions and also acted as a platform for eminent speakers from industry, academia and government to share their experience and insights, with the students.
Deliberating upon the topic, “AI is the Most Transformative Technology we have seen so far”, Dr Neeta Verma, Chief Adviser (IT), Election Commission of India, averred, “Today, Artificial Intelligence has become a part of our daily life and it is being used in education, healthcare, finance, and many other sectors. AI is a powerful technological tool which has made our lives easier. However, a few concerns regarding the use of AI need to be addressed such as loss of jobs, privacy, bias, transparency, accountability and ethical use. Therefore, Responsible AI is the way forward which implies developing, assessing and deploying AI systems in a way that it is ethical, safe and trustworthy.”
Addressing the students, Dr Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Executive Officer, Anuvadini AI, All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Education, stated, “In the world of Artificial Intelligence, the need of the hour is to take out AI from textbooks and laboratories and apply it in our daily lives. The ANUVADINI: Voice & Document AI Translation Tools consisting of a multitude of features and functionalities desire to close this gap arising due to language barriers.
He added, "The Online Translation Tool supports 22 Regional Bharatiya & foreign languages, helping to break language barriers and unifying India and the world. Technology is also created by humans; therefore, technology can never overpower human intelligence. Technological innovations have been a part of our ancient Vedic system and Indians have innovated many products and technologies since ancient times. We must focus on Business Intelligence instead of only focusing on Artificial Intelligence. It is crucial to get the think out of the box, innovate and get the innovations patented, instead of just learning theory from textbooks.”
During the two-day conference, Panel Discussions on “AI-Powered Cybersecurity: Safeguarding Against Emerging Threats”, and “ Ethics and AI: Ensuring Responsible Development”, along with an Expert Talk on “Towards a New Technology Direction for India with AI, Quantum & more”, were also held, wherein , Padma Bhushan Mr Ajai Chowdhry, Co-founder HCL, Dr. Sushil K. Meher, Head of Medical Informatics, AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Director/Scientist ‘F’, Cyber Security R&D, Ministry of Electronics & IT and Mr. Shivank Singh Chauhan, Senior Policy Associate, Digital India Foundation, participated amongst others.
