Registration Opens For Gerda Philipsborn Day Care Centre At JMI

After a hiatus during the Covid crisis, registration and enrolment for the Gerda Philipsborn Day Care Centre, also known as the crèche, at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) are in full swing. Operated under the supervision of the Mushir Fatima Nursery School, JMI, this facility has been revamped to offer an extension with sleeping amenities, indoor-outdoor play equipment, resting spaces and child-sized furnishings, all at affordable monthly rates.

The decision to reopen this essential service was driven by the demand and necessity of working parents, who rely on quality child care. The initiative was spearheaded by Prof Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor,  Jamia Millia Islamia, who recognised the importance of supporting working parents in the JMI community.

The Gerda Philipsborn Day Care Centre places a strong emphasis on creating a nurturing and secure environment for children while providing stimulating activities tailored to each child's developmental needs. This reopening aligns with the university's commitment to facilitating a conducive environment for both education and work-life balance.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to secure a safe and enriching space for their children while they pursue their academic and professional commitments.
