EdTech PlanetSpark launches a monthly Digital Newsletter, 'Spark Times', along with a weekly Digital Magazine. These media properties of the brand will be editorially led by children from the age group of 7-16 years. Participating as Bloggers and Child Journalists, PlanetSpark students will be contributing to the Newsletter and Magazine in the form of Articles, Art Work, Book Reviews and Topical Columns.
The monthly Newsletter 'Spark Times' will be in the format of a newspaper and comprise different segments such as Features, Interviews with Student Achievers, Global News and Sports News. The Weekly Magazine, on the other hand, will have issues dedicated to subjects such as Technology, Global Trivia, Entertainment, and Sports. In both properties, there will be a fun segment consisting of Riddles, Crosswords, and Sudoku Puzzles.
The first edition of Spark Times was released on 7th February 2022, wherein students wrote articles and columns around Global Events, Offbeat Guinness World Records, and Climate Change. Two issues of the weekly Magazine titled ‘Entertainment Station’ and ‘Global Hub’ have also been released recently. In Entertainment Station, children created Content across subjects such as Book Reviews, Books & Movies Recommendations, and DIY Craft Suggestions. In Global Hub, 8 children co-authored a special theme-based section called '2020 Recapped'. In this section, every child wrote about the one aspect of their respective city/state that made them feel proud of it, during the first lockdown. In addition to this, Thane, Maharashtra-based 13-year old girl, Teertha Nair wrote about her topic of interest 'Greek Mythology' in an extensive 3-page article.
