Physics Wallah To Invest Rs 100 Cr To Scale Up UPSC Vertical

Physics Wallah (PW), the Indian edtech startup is planning to invest Rs 100 crore to scale up its UPSC vertical. The firm is aiming to strengthen its portfolio.

The funds will be deployed to add to the company's products across both offline and online segments. The investment will also be utilised to bolster its tech vertical, onboard teachers, for pedagogy development and designing UPSC-related content.

It is noteworthy that the firm caters to online UPSC aspirants through UPSC Wallah, while the offline vertical comes under the banner of PWOnlyIAS.

The announcement also saw PW inaugurating its maiden offline UPSC coaching centre, PWOnlyIAS, in Rajinder Nagar area of Delhi. The firm plans to launch over 10 offline centres in cities like Jaipur, Allahabad, Patna, Lucknow, Indore and Pune in the next three years. The objective is to cater to 3 lakh aspirants in this vertical by the year 2026. 

Apart from this, PWOnlyIAS also plans to introduce courses for state public service commission aspirants in the online mode. Presently, it provides similar courses for Bihar (in Hindi and Hinglish), Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra (in Marathi).
