MDI Gurgaon Welcomes New Director Dr Arvind Sahay

Dr Arvind Sahay, former founding chair of the NSE Center for behavioral sciences and India gold policy center at IIM Ahmedabad, has been appointed as MDI Gurgaon's Director on 17 October 2023. Prior to joining MDI, Prof Arvind Sahay was a professor of marketing at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). Prof Sahay also held the positions of founding chair of the NSE Center for behavioural sciences and chair of the India Gold Policy Center at IIM Ahmedabad.

He has made important contributions to IIM Ahmedabad as a teacher, researcher, consultant and administrator.

With a Ph.D in marketing strategy and international business from The University of Texas, Austin, marks a crucial turning point for MDI on its path to excellence. Prof Arvind Sahay’s academic path started with a PGDM on marketing and finance at the IIM, Ahmedabad. Earlier than that, Prof Sahay earned a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India

Prof Sahay has written more than 60 cases, published a significant amount of research in peer-reviewed international journals and excelled as a teacher. Throughout his career, he has also held leadership positions at IIM Ahmedabad, including those of Dean of Alumni & External Relations, Chairperson of PGPX, Chairperson of Executive Education and Chairperson of the Marketing Area.
