Lathi Charge On STET Teacher Candidates In Patna

In the capital of Bihar - Patna, policemen lathi-charged the candidates of teacher recruitment. In fact, a large number of teacher candidates who reached Patna from all over Bihar were staging a picketing at Dak Bungalow Chauraha on August 22, demanding the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test and the seventh phase teacher recruitment. This is when the police lathi-charged these candidates.

Several candidates have also suffered injuries because of the use of force by police. Many videos of this lathi charge of Bihar Police have also come to the fore, in which it can be seen how brutally the police have beaten these protesting candidates. At the same time, during the demonstration, ADM Law and Order KK Singh also thrashed the protesters fiercely.

What is the issue?

In fact, the candidates have been demanding for a long time to resume the seventh phase teacher recruitment in Bihar. Qualified students of 2019 have been protesting at the Gardanibagh picket site for the last 21 days under the banner of Preliminary Teacher Morcha. All of these candidates had reached Dak Bungalow Chauraha on Monday. Here the administration officials and police stopped these people.

Candidates and students created a ruckus about this and raised slogans against the government and the Education Minister. After which the police lathi-charged to remove these people from there. These candidates were demanding that the recruitment process should be started immediately. Besides this, these people are demanding to organise BTET exam. At the same time, the primary education department is still refusing to hold the examination.
