Educational Initiatives (EI), India’s edtech company, today announced the appointment of Garima Gupta as its Chief Financial Officer.
Garima will play a pivotal role as part of the senior management team at Educational Initiatives. She brings a wealth of cross-industry experience of over 16 years in strategic financial planning and managing investor relations.
Garima is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in leading multinational companies including Bharti Airtel, Sony, Genpact and start-ups Nxtra Data, Runnr. Her previous stint at various companies in diverse roles that she led, involved financial planning & analysis, business reporting, strategy, and investor relations. Before joining Educational Initiatives, Garima was the Chief Financial Officer at Runnr, which got acquired by Zomato.
At EI, she will also oversee financial planning and reporting, accounting, controls, taxation, audits and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Garima will manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and allocation of the company’s capital.
