BW Businessworld Unveils Power Club Of Top '40Under40' In Education

The Education ecosystem and educators form the backbone of a country’s economy. The education ecosystem in India is re-modelling and re-inventing to integrate technology and keep pace with the new social paradigms.  

BW Education 40under40 brings to you a list of the brightest young minds from the world of business in India. The list looks at unique business ideas and the people powering them. It is very dynamic and includes people from a range of industries. While each one may not have built a billion-dollar business but they have all built something new and different or simply changed the way things were done traditionally. 

BW Education 40under40 measures success, not just through money, revenues, valuations and profits but looks at innovative ideas. With India set to be the youngest country in the world, 40under40 list is an attempt to felicitate the young Co-Founders, CEOs, innovators and disruptors. 

The eminent jury was chaired by Padma Bhushan Awardee Rajendra Singh Pawar, Chairman, NIIT and Founder, NIIT University. Other jury members included Dr Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, BW Businessworld & Exchange4media; Dr Punam Sahgal, Former Dean & Professor, IIM Lucknow; Dr SS Mantha, Former Chairman, AICTE and Chairman, KL University; Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida; Sudhanshu Pant, Head of Human Resources, The British School, New Delhi; Harsh Wardhan, CEO, CSC; Dr C P Shrimali, Former Director; Divya Lal, Founder & MD, Fliplearn Education; Dr Anup K Singh, Director General, Nirma University; Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Vinesh Menon, CEO - Human Development & Social Impact , AMPERSAND Group. 

Out of the total 180 nominations that were received, 90 were shortlisted & screened by the BW Businessworld team and 59 were chosen to present before the jury. The jury carefully scrutinised all these nominations and presented the top 26 young achievers.  

"Passion is the key. There is a very large number of people trying new things, solving the small problems in unique ways. We came up with this list and it was an enjoyable process going through all and see the shape which these initiatives are taking. We found 26 people who were suitable and many other, who we hope will come back next year. In some cases there was information that was missing or we needed more evidence of their work. I did find the representation that came out of this was a good sign," comments Jury Chair, Padma Bhushan Awardee Rajendra Singh Pawar.

The winners were awarded in the presence of the Jury Chair Rajendra Singh Pawar on August 9, 2022, in a grand physical event organised in The Imperial, New Delhi.

He congratulated and complimented the participants and the BW Education team for their initiative that will help in building New India.

The elite BW 40 under 40 education list of achievers 2022

The list includes disruptors, educators and thought-leaders who are as young as 27 and 28. All these have made their mark in the field of education and aim to make a difference with their work.

The winners were delighted to receive the recognition and expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards the jury and BW Businessworld team for organising this initiative.
