British Council Launches 'Ready, Set, Read' - A Reading Challenge For Kids

The British Council, renowned for its global cultural and educational initiatives, introduces the highly anticipated 'Ready, Set, Read' Reading Challenge for children aged 5 to 12. The challenge encourages kids to become avid readers by engaging with specially selected books over six weeks. The aim is for participants to read one book per week, fostering a love for reading and personal achievement.

Children will explore titles like 'Rampaging Rugby,' 'All to Play For' and 'Strong and Tough,' embarking on thrilling adventures within a fictional summer obstacle course, vividly brought to life through illustrations by renowned children's artist, Loretta Schauer.
