BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group initiative, recently concluded its fourth annual BRIJ Leadership Summit on 6 October 2023. The summit, attended by thought leaders, industry experts and young trailblazers, explored crucial themes relevant to Gen Z, including technology, climate change and wellness. Concurrently, BMU released a survey report titled "Unveiling Tomorrow: Empowering Gen Z in a Changing World," shedding light on Gen Z's perspectives, aspirations and challenges in the realms of technology, climate change and wellness.
Siddharth Shah, Co-founder and CEO of API Holdings and PharmEasy, graced the summit, discussing various aspects of Gen Z's evolving landscape. Three panel discussions took centre stage during the event, focusing on Gen Z's role as technology creators, climate change activists and wellness advocates.
The survey report revealed that 65 per cent of Gen Z believes AI will significantly impact various aspects of human life, with 44 per cent expressing concerns about job market uncertainty due to AI. Additionally, 48 per cent of Gen Z is notably concerned about climate change.
In terms of wellness, 48 per cent of respondents emphasised the importance of mental and emotional well-being. Gen Z's usage of wellness apps and their preference for technology in achieving wellness goals were also highlighted.
The BRIJ Leadership Summit provided a platform for insightful discussions, offering a deeper understanding of Gen Z's aspirations and concerns regarding technology, climate change and wellness.
The survey collected data from 700 Gen Z individuals across India and conducted 20 in-depth interviews with industry experts. Extensive secondary research and qualitative analysis were also performed to gain nuanced insights into Gen Z's opinions and values. The combination of quantitative and qualitative methods provided a robust foundation for analysing Gen Z's perspectives on these critical themes.
