BML Munjal University’s School of Law in collaboration with Springdales School, Delhi, conducted the first-ever Inter-School Moot Court Competition on Wednesday, 17th May 2023, at the Springdales School in New Delhi.
This event is an initiative of the School of Law, BML Munjal University to spread legal awareness among school students by allowing them a unique opportunity to experience simulated courtroom experience in the form of an inter-school moot court competition.
"The Inter-School Moot Court Competition provided an exceptional platform for students to demonstrate their legal skills and knowledge, delivering a meaningful and unparalleled experience," said Dr Pritam Barauh, Dean, School of Law, BML Munjal University.
He further added, "Moot courts, traditionally limited to law students, have gained significant recognition and popularity among school students due to the growing awareness of legal education. By engaging in this competition, students had the opportunity to sharpen their critical thinking, research, and advocacy abilities, preparing them for future endeavors in the legal field."
Participating in teams of three, students from classes 11th and 12th engaged in a constructive exchange among legal minds. The moot court competition saw the participation of 11 teams from across the city including Delhi Public School, Scottish High International School and Blue Bells Model School. The team from Jaspal Kaur Public School has emerged as the winner and the team from Manavsthali School secured the runners-up position with their convincing arguments on both sides of the case.
