The focus of engineering education, initially, was to produce graduate who will implement, operate and manage the technology. But with the changing industry trends, there is a need for engineering graduates to be conversant with existing practices in the industry while also acting as agents to bring in innovation and improvements. At BW Businessworld Engineering Excellence Conclave 2019, Navin Mittal, IAS, Commissioner, Collegiate and Technical Education, Government of Telangana expressed his views on the future scenario of technical education. He also informs that a polytechnic student is offered better job offer than a B.Tech Graduate.
