Zamit Launches Game Design Internship For Students

Zamit, has announced a summer internship programme for secondary school students. Under this programme over a duration of twenty weeks, the ‘job description’ entails designing and developing unique games thereby exposing the students to game development processes, and to also hands on experience of workings in the gaming industry.  

With the opportunity to design, develop and publish their unique games on several of Zamit’s platforms, students would also benefit from the visibility of their work to over 50,000 users across the globe. Additionally, through the internship, students will be mentored and guided by national and international experts in game design. 

To qualify for this programme, a student must make a 60-120 second video submission explaining why he should be selected for this internship. The students can choose their gaming ideas from five sub-themes: Control the Game not the player; Indirect Interaction; Running out of space; The more you have, the worse it gets; and, A light in the dark. The game idea must be a simple, single-player game and must be completed within the duration of the internship. 

“We intend to come up with more such internships with a focus on different subjects, industries and career opportunities,” said Aarul Malaviya, Founder and Director of Zamit.  

In addition to gaining global visibility and recognition, students on successful completion of the programme would receive an internship experience certificate. Notably, they would also receive a sampler ZQ Assessment free of cost – the world’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven, measurable future readiness indexing system that analyses and guides individuals towards success in the 21st century and beyond.
