SSC CHSL Exam 2022: Analysis

SSC has successfully conducted the SSC CHSL exam from May 24 to June 10, 2022. The exam was attempted by more than 30 lakh candidates all across India.

SSC CHSL exam comprises questions from four sections namely English Language, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Let's look at the analysis of each section one by one.

English Language

The overall trend observed during the SSC CHSL 2022 for the English language section was that questions were easy to attempt across all shifts. Questions were mostly from the topics of cloze test, synonyms and antonyms, error spotting, sentence rearrangement, active and passive voice etc.

- Good attempts: 20-22 questions

General Intelligence and Reasoning

The overall trend in the General Intelligence and Reasoning section for SSC CHSL 2022 was that questions were easy to moderate to attempt across all shifts. Questions were from the topics of Mirror Images, Coding-Decoding, Number and Alphabet Series, Mathematical Operation (BODMAS), calendars, cubes and dices etc

- Overall difficulty level: easy to moderate

- Good attempts: 19-20 questions

- Most popular topics: Mirror Images, Coding-Decoding, Number and Alphabet Series, BODMAS

Quantitative Aptitude

The overall trend of questions observed from the Quantitative Aptitude section in SSC CHSL 2022 was that questions were calculative in nature across all shifts. The most popular topics were profit and loss, simplification, simple and compound interest, mensuration, data interpretation and time and work.

- Overall difficulty level: easy to moderate

- Good attempts: 19-20 questions

- Most popular topics: Profit and Loss, SI&CI, Data Interpretation, Mensuration, Simplification

General Awareness

General Awareness was the surprise package in SSC CHSL 2022. The questions were moderate to difficult across all shifts and mostly based on current affairs of the last 12-18 months. Most of the questions were asked about art and culture, dance forms, musicians and musical instruments, books and authors, awards and honours etc.

- Overall difficulty level: moderate to difficult

- Good attempts: 16-18 questions

- Most popular topics: Current Affairs, Dance and Dance Forms, Musicians, Musical Instruments, Books and Author, Awards and Honours, Periodic Table

The overall difficulty level of the SSC CHSL 2022 paper was easy to moderate and the number of good attempts can be between 76-79.
