Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence completed the 'Young Thinkers Forum (YFT) Summer School Programme 2024', attracting over 90 students from grades 8th to 12th from 35+ schools across 7 states. The programme showcased the enthusiasm for fostering young talent, particularly in the National Capital Region.
The programme involved students in multidisciplinary sessions on creative writing, data science, mathematics, sustainability and entrepreneurship. College students provided mentorship through vertical tutoring. Interactive multimedia sessions and discussion groups promoted critical thinking.
The programme offered students a range of recreational activities, including daily sports and yoga sessions, a guided tour of a biodiversity park, cultural activities and visits to Moolgyan, an organic farm and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience for the students.
Students celebrated World Environment Day with various activities, including a virtual forest, nest-making, pottery and learning about composting, recycling and earth art. They pledged to save Mother Earth and contribute to environmental conservation.
The Young Thinkers Forum was awarded the "2024 Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) Recognition of Merit Award" for 'Excellence in Innovative Practices' at the NASPA conference in Qatar.
