SGT University Hosts 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047' Meet, Focusing On Youth And Growth

SGT University, in collaboration with NCR Chamber of Commerce, hosted an industry meet on "Viksit Bharat @ 2047," focusing on empowering youth, industry-academia partnerships, and strategies for India's growth vision.

The Faculty of Commerce and Management (FCAM) at SGT University, in partnership with the NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry,  hosted an industry meet on September 6, 2024, titled "Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Empowering Youth and Establishing a Growth Ecosystem." The event, held under the guidance of Tanushri Purohit, Dean of FCAM, brought together a distinguished panel of industry leaders, government representatives, and aspiring young professionals to discuss India's ambitious vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The event began with a warm welcome from Purohit, who emphasised the critical role of youth in realising India's potential. She highlighted the need for a collaborative approach involving government, industry and academia to create a conducive environment for growth and development.

Atmanand, Pro Vice Chancellor, SGT University, set the stage for the discussions by outlining the university's commitment to nurturing future leaders and contributing to India's development. He emphasised the importance of industry-academia partnerships in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The event featured a distinguished panel of industry experts, including:

Himanshu Joshi from NITI Aayog outlined the government's initiatives and strategies to achieve the Viksit Bharat vision, emphasising sustainable development, inclusive growth and digital transformation.

Goutam Bhattacharya from the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council highlighted the immense potential of the healthcare sector and the need for skilled professionals to meet the growing demand for healthcare services.

H P Yadav from the NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry discussed the role of industry in driving economic growth and creating job opportunities.

Utpal Mukherji from Axis Bank highlighted the importance of financial inclusion and access to credit for businesses and individuals.

Laxmikanta Das from HFCL. shared insights on the opportunities and challenges in the infrastructure sector and the need for investment in technology and innovation.

Ayush Srivastava from International Egis Group emphasised the role of international collaboration and knowledge sharing in India's development journey.

The panellists discussed various aspects of India's development journey, including the role of youth, innovation and collaboration. They emphasised the importance of upskilling, entrepreneurship and sustainable development in achieving the Viksit Bharat vision.

Following the panel discussion, students actively participated in a Q&A session, raising insightful questions and receiving thoughtful responses from the panellists. Their enthusiasm and curiosity demonstrated their keen interest in India's development and their desire to contribute to the nation's progress.

In addition to the panel discussion, a roundtable discussion was held among industry leaders from the NCR Chamber of Commerce The event also featured insightful presentations from industry leaders like B. Raj Sachdeva, Bharat Goel and others.  The roundtable provided an opportunity for these experienced professionals to share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing businesses in India and discuss strategies for sustainable growth.

The industry meet at SGT University was a resounding success, providing a valuable platform for dialogue and collaboration. It brought together industry leaders, government representatives and aspiring professionals to discuss India's development challenges and opportunities. The event served as a catalyst for action, inspiring participants to contribute to the realisation of the Viksit Bharat vision.
