Nourishing Schools Foundation, a leading non-profit dedicated to combating malnutrition among schoolchildren organised the ‘Idea-thon’ event at Sancta Maria International School. The event brought together over 80 students from XI to XII grades for a workshop that began with a discussion on balanced meals and food groups. Following this, the Nourishing Schools Foundation conducted an interactive activity where students formed class-wise groups and were given specific challenges to create a balanced meal.
This "Create a Balanced Meal" challenge was tailored to match the difficulty level appropriate for each grade. The 1.5-hour workshop aimed to boost creativity and problem-solving skills among students while encouraging them to contribute to a healthier school environment. The students participated enthusiastically, bringing forth highly creative balanced meal ideas. The event included informative sessions that provided students with essential knowledge and inspiration to think creatively about health and wellness initiatives within their school communities.
Looking forward, Nourishing Schools Foundation aims to expand its implementation of Change Catalyst Programme across several states aiming to inspire and empower students through innovative educational experiences, being dedicated to promoting health, wellness and holistic development in schools through creative programmes, workshops and support services. The organisation’s mission is to nurture young minds and contribute to the overall well-being of school communities, engaging young minds in meaningful ways.
