Educational Testing Service (ETS) known for its educational measurement, research, and policy work to improve teaching and learning has announced the appointment of Omar Chihane as the new General Manager for the TOEFL programme. Working closely with Rohit Sharma, ETS Senior Vice President, Global Mobility Solutions, Chihane will lead strategic initiatives, vision, and expansion of the TOEFL iBT services. His role will encompass all key business areas including product development, operations, sales, distribution and marketing.

Chihane, who has previously founded englease, an english teaching startup focused on the Middle East and Africa, brings insights from his time leading educational initiatives through online platforms. His experience in senior roles at major multinational corporations like Siemens, Nokia and Microsoft, coupled with an MBA from the London Business School, equips him well for his new role at ETS.
