Newcastle University is extendig its Vice Chancellor’s Excellence and Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship schemes to international students. The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships will provide successful international applicants with up to 100 per cet of tuition fee coverage, with the total amounts varying between individual schemes.
With an additional institutional investment of half a million GBP, the funding is aimed at attracting students from across the world to study for their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the university.
Scholarships schemes outline:
The university is offering four scholarships under the scholarship schemes. These include:
Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (Undergraduate study): The university is offering 26 up to 50 per cent tuition fee scholarships and two 100 per cent tuition fee scholarships.
Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (Postgraduate study): The university is offering 59 Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) for outstanding international applicants who apply to commence full-time Master’s studies on an eligible programme. There are 57 up to 50 per cent tuition fee scholarships and two 100 per cent tuition fee scholarships.
Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Undergraduate study): The University is offering 25 Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarships for international applicants who apply to commence full-time undergraduate studies. There are 25 scholarships with £4,000 tuition fee awards.
Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Postgraduate study): The University is offering 25 Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarships (VCGS) for £4,000 tuition fee awards for outstanding international applicants who apply to commence full-time Master’s studies.
Eligibility:
Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (Undergraduate study) & Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Undergraduate study): Indian applicants must hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year and already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.
Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (Postgraduate study) & Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Postgraduate study): Indian applicants must hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year and already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second-class UK honours degree or above.

The scholarships are now open for students who looking to start their studies in September 2024.
The last date of application deadline for the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (undergraduate) and Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Undergraduate study) is 9 May 2024 and the deadline for the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship (Postgraduate study) and Vice Chancellor’s Global Scholarship (Postgraduate study) is 6 June 2024.
