Manav Rachna University has become the first Indian university to offer the International Baccalaureate Educators Certificate (IBEC) for its three IB Programmes - Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) in partnership with the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), with the B.Ed & B.Ed Integrated programmes now recognised by IBO.
The IB Educator Certificate provides graduates with global teaching opportunities, enabling them to make a lasting impact on students worldwide. The School of Education & Humanities at MRU aims to meet the growing demand for trained IB Educators, offering diverse career opportunities in prestigious global schools.
Manav Rachna Educational Institutions has opened its first IB School in Faridabad and plans to expand to other cities. The IB Educator Certificate programme at the School of Education & Humanities at MRU is part of the Global IBEC Universities, offering pre-service teachers exposure to new-age pedagogies, philosophy, structures and assessments of IB Education. The School of Education & Humanities provides a unique opportunity to explore the IB Journey and expand your horizons.
The programme provides opportunities for global teaching positions and access to IB community resources like the programme resource centre, international conferences and collaborative opportunities.
MRU is addressing the shortage of qualified educators in India, particularly in the IB education sector, by incorporating IBEC into its B.Ed programmes at the School of Education & Humanities. This comprehensive training prepares a new generation of educators to meet the demands of a globalised education landscape.
The IB has continued its engagement with the organisation, as per the MoU signed in October 2023, which aimed to introduce the IBEC (IB Educators Certificate) at the inauguration of the Centre for Advanced Learning at Manav Rachna University.
