The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sikkim's Medhavi Skills University to offer educational and skilling opportunities to the families of serving, deceased and retired army personnel. The MoU will reserve seats and provide special fee concessions in Medhavi Skills University's undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.

MSU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army, pledging to cut tuition and hostel accommodation fees for beneficiaries with additional concessions based on their national entrance examination scores. This marks MSU's first collaboration with the Indian Army, marking a significant step towards enhancing its educational offerings.

“MSU views the defense forces as a significant partner in its journey of upskilling India. We are invested in enhancing the learning, development and employability for the families of those who serve our nation so bravely”, Kuldip Sarma, said.

“This partnership with Medhavi Skills University is a commendable step towards empowering the families of our army personnel. We must support the educational and professional aspirations of the families who sacrifice so much for the nation’s security”, Major General Ravindra Singh, said.

MSU's initiative honours the Indian Army's significant sacrifices and aims to empower their families through improved educational and skilling opportunities.
