The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has recently introduced four new online postgraduate programmes in various domains: climate finance and sustainability, renewable energy and e-mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning and business leadership in the digital age.
Notably, GATE scores will not be required as a criterion for admission to these programmes. The application window for the inaugural session, scheduled for January, is now open and will remain so until October 31. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official website of the institute.
Furthermore, IIT Kanpur is also set to launch new sessions for its eMasters programmes. Applications are currently being accepted for upcoming cohorts in Data Science and Business Analytics, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, Public Policy, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, as well as Power Sector Regulation, Economics and Management.
The Climate Finance and Sustainability programme at IIT Kanpur aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial strategies and sustainable initiatives. On the other hand, the Renewable Energy and e-Mobility programme will cater to the ever-evolving alternative energy sector.
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme will equip professionals with the skills needed in this rapidly advancing field, while the Business Leadership in the Digital Age programme will enhance participants' understanding of modern business dynamics.
These new programs offered by IIT Kanpur offer flexibility in completion time, ranging from one to three years. They accommodate various schedules and feature live interactive classes exclusively on weekends, supplemented by self-paced learning. Each programme comprises a 60-credit, 12-module curriculum meticulously designed to align with industry requirements. Faculty and researchers from IIT Kanpur will lead these programmes, providing their expertise to facilitate real-world applications. Participants also have the opportunity to utilise the credit transfer feature, potentially waiving up to 60 credits for future higher education pursuits (such as MTech or PhD) at IIT Kanpur.
In addition, these programmes grant access to IIT Kanpur's placement and incubation cells, as well as its extensive alumni network, thereby enhancing participants' career prospects and networking opportunities.
As part of the enriching learning journey, participants may visit IIT Kanpur's campus, engage with esteemed faculty, and connect with experienced professionals. Eventually, they can earn the distinguished status of being an IIT Kanpur alumni, as stated by the institute.
Notably, the eMasters program at IIT Kanpur will confer senate-approved eMasters degrees during convocation, rather than diplomas or certificates.
