The Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), in association with the Magnetic Society of India (MSI), is set to host a three-day international workshop titled 'School on Magnetism and Spintronics 2024' from December 2 to 4, 2024. This prestigious event will bring together renowned global experts to deliver lectures and tutorials on cutting-edge research and advancements in the fields of magnetism and spintronics.
The workshop is designed to benefit early-career researchers and will feature a variety of interactive sessions, discussions and hands-on activities.
The aim is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of both foundational concepts and the latest developments in the rapidly evolving field of spintronics and magnetism.
Participants will also have the opportunity to tour and explore IIT Kanpur’s state-of-the-art research facilities, gaining valuable insights into ongoing research in these domains.
Applications for participation in the school are currently open and can be submitted through the event’s official website.
