ICFAI Law School Organizes ‘Lex Knot -2019’ Celebrations Of Law Festival

ICFAI Law School Hyderabad, a constituent of The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), organized four day Celebrations of Law Festival –  Lex Knot and N J Yasaswy Memorial Fourth National Moot Court Competition-2019 from 28th March, 2019 to 31st March, 2019 at ICFAI Campus, Dontanpally.

The valedictory session was graced by the chief guest for the occasion, Justice Challa Kodanda Ram, High Court of Judicature, Telangana State. He stressed on the personality development books such as “Law of Success” and “Seven Habits of highly effective people” which shape the mannerisms of a would be lawyer. He prescribed these books to the students for their overall personality development. He also advised the student participants to nurture a good character in-order to be a successful lawyer.

"These books talk about how to do and what to do in different trying situations", said Kodanda Ram.

The guest of honour at the event was Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili, High Court of Judicature Telangana State. He said, "The job of a lawyer is to formulate the case in a simplified manner and present the same supported by relevant precedents, thereby convincing and impressing upon the judge".

"The voice modulation of the advocate has to change accordingly in order to give needed emphasis on requisite legal issues before a judge", he added.

Further taking a que from the participations he advised the student participants to maintain the voice modulation which is an important factor for better articulation of the case and to instill the confidence in the clients simply by following the law.

Dr. A V Narasimha Rao, Director ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad and Chairperson presided the event and said, "The event Lex Knot has its own importance like other events of IFHE. He said that ICFAI Law School Hyderabad has set a trend that is being imbibed by other Law Universities in organizing events which have a combination of academic, clinical, cultural and sports activities giving an all-round exposure to the student participants. Besides, it also helps student participants to learn a lot in the practical aspects of legal field through interaction with experienced lawyers and judges who preside over the events as judges for the competitions".

The event coordinator Prof. Preeti and students around 2000 from other Universities, faculty participated in the event. The ICFAI Law School is a significant segment of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Declared as a Deemed-to-be University established under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. It offers BBA LL.B (Hons) BA LL.B (Hons) five year integrated courses and two year LLM course recognized by Bar Council of India.
