GD Goenka University Hosts Conference On Law & Technology

The School of Law at GD Goenka University, Gurugram, hosted the International Conference on Law and Technology on 7 and 8 June 2024. Themed ‘Emerging Jurisprudence of Digital Transformation of Law’ with a specific focus on ‘Policy Tackling Cyber Threats’, the online conference brought together over 200 academicians, policymakers, industry experts and research scholars from across the globe.

The conference was inaugurated by Rakesh Maheshwari, Former Senior Director and Head of Cyber Laws and Data Governance, Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY); Deepankar Khare, Joint Director, Public Policy, MAIT and Anandaday Misshra - Founder and Managing Partner, AMLEGALS.

Throughout the conference, participants explored how digital transformation has permeated every aspect of society, altering the way law is practiced, interpreted and enforced. Key topics included the adoption of digital technologies in legal processes, the ethical implications of artificial intelligence and the regulation of emerging technologies. The intersection of law and technology has grown increasingly complex and multifaceted, prompting in-depth discussions and analyses.
