Newton School of Technology-Rishihood University has announced the joining of academician Dr K Gopinath as a Senior Professor for the on-campus Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Gopinath has more than 30 years of experience in academia having earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University, USA and served as a Professor at IISc, Bangalore till his retirement.
Dr. Gopinath has contributed to topics such as how to engineer more efficient computer systems (including the use of AI for improving computer systems), computational thinking (especially its role in Indic thinking) and understanding the intersection of technology with society and public policy.
The appointment comes ahead of the second year of NST, aiming to elevate learning and education on campus to newer heights.
