Dr J Mahender Reddy Emphasizes On Management Research Centres At B-Schools

During the BW Education presents Future of Management Education Conclave on 12th November 2019 in New Delhi, Dr J Mahender Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad displayed their steps towards the future of management education.

Dr Reddy believes that the future of management education should focus on excellence in teaching, research and practice.

He also suggests developing centres of excellence with case research and case approach to bring out the latest changes in business quickly into the classroom.

According to Dr Reddy, “Analytics is redefining business insights. Managers must develop the orientation of the technocrat to bring innovations and as an agent; they should embrace technology and integrate it with human resources and leadership strategies.”

Along with technology, innovation and entrepreneurship are going to shape the future of an institution. To this Vice-Chancellor added, “Sustainability requirements will force companies to innovate and change their business models to adapt to the market demands. And to prepare the management students for this, we need to arrange deferred placements, internships with startups, courses and workshops on entrepreneurship.”

This NAAC accredited Business school is the third-largest provider of cases to The Case Centre, the world’s largest repository, after Harvard and INSEAD. Currently, they are offering MBA, Executive MBA, BBA, BA (Economics) and PhD in management and economics.

In 1984, late N J Yasaswy founded the ICFAI group with a vision to deliver education with strong values, ethics, and morals. Later, a chain of ICFAI Business Schools was launched in 1995 at 9 locations all over India. In all the programs offered across these units, the emphasis is on adherence to academic rigour and differentiated curriculum.
