DPS RN Extension, in association with Child Abuse Combat Awareness (CACA), organised an extensive workshop for teachers aiming at enhancing children's safety and well-being. Advocacy ambassadors Parnika Rastogi and. Jahnavi Singh presented CACA's mission, highlighting the mandatory reporting of sexual offences and the educators' legal obligations.
The workshop delved into critical legal frameworks such as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. Teachers received a list of resources, including helpline numbers for local children, protection units and counselling services. The teachers then shared their feedback, expressing appreciation for the comprehensive coverage of the topics and the practical knowledge gained.
Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal, DPS RN Extension, expressed, “At DPS RN Extension, the safety and well-being of our students is our utmost priority. With valuable insights from CACA, this workshop has equipped our educators with the crucial knowledge and tools needed to protect and support our children. We are committed to creating a secure environment where every child can thrive and grow.”
