Asha Bhandarker initiated the discussion reminiscing his virtues and celebrating the achievements of Guru Dr Pritam Singh. H Chaturvedi says “Always be grateful and grounded,” and stated that I learned this from Lt. Dr Singh. Adding to the same, Biswajit Roy said that “he was large-hearted, people-oriented and inclusive in nature.”
On the occurrence of Dr Pritam Singh's death anniversary on 3rd June 2021; many of his followers, mentees, colleagues, students, current industry leaders have gone down to his lane, celebrated his legacy, and shared their unforgettable moments with the legendary leader during a virtual remembrance meet which was organized by Dr Pritam Singh Foundation.
“He touched people,” Ranjan Mohapatra affirms, and he was a significant storyteller par excellence with a distinct ability to connect with people, R S Kalsi adds. Dr Pritam Singh widely acknowledged as the leader of leaders and legendary Guru contributed significantly to management education in India over four and a half decades of his active professional life.
“Dr Singh had a significant ability to empower and enable people to achieve stellar heights in their professional journey. He had an exceptional capability to transform a person from “Maali to Maalik” (Translated as Gardener to Owner),” reiterates Dwarkanath Pathnam, President, Dr Pritam Singh Foundation during his keynote address at the beginning of the meet.
As the meet preceded, S Y Siddiqui, President, Dr Pritam Singh Foundation shared an instance of turning Maruti Company from a Japanese MNC to an Indian Public Corporation in which he held the hand of Late. Dr Singh for the guidance. Adding to it, Siddiqui also mentioned that Late. Dr Singh had always pushed to “rethink, reinvent and go beyond conventional paths to have a balcony view.”
“He was a big man of commitment and a perfect guru,” states Maj. Gen. D N Khurana. Dr. B Metri shares that it was Dr. Singh’s firm stand and disruptive vision to attain international accreditation and MDI was the first in the nation to receive the same. Reinforcing Swami Vivekananda’s quote, “Leader is someone can see the invisible and do the unthinkable,” Dr. Metri talks about Dr. Singh’s visionary spirit.

Padma Shri Dr Pritam Singh was a charismatic leader, a visionary, an institutional builder who never missed a chance to set an example and walk the talk. Former Director HR, ONGC, Jauharilal Singh opens up and said, “I became his fan when I first met him in 1983.”
The website “Dr Pritam Singh Foundation” was launched by Vipul Singh, Son of Lt. Dr. Pritam Singh and he expressed his gratitude to all for making time to join the meet towards the end.
Taking it forward from here, Dr Sanjay Srivastava and Dhananjay Singh showed the different panes of the website and propounded the vision of initiating the foundation. He urged everyone to consider the website as yours and said “do colour the website with your memories”
