CBSE Class 10 Results Declared

The Central Board for Secondary Education(CBSE) has declared the results for the class 10 exam.The result was announced 3 hours earlier than the official notified time of 4:00 pm. A total of 16,38,420 candidates registered for the Class 10 exam conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres abroad.

The overall pass percentage remained at 86.70%.Girls were ahead of boys with a pass percentage of 88.67%.The percentage for boys is 85.32%.Thiruvananthapuram region has topped with a pass percentage of 99.60%, followed by Chennai (97.37%), and Ajmer (91.86%). Delhi amassed a pass percentage of 78.62%.

There are four joint toppers this year: Prakhar Mittal from Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal from Bijnor, Nandini Garg from Shamli, and Sreelakshmi G from Cochin have all scored 99.8%.This was the first batch to appear for the Class 10 board examinations after the CBSE decided to do away with the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and reintroduce the board exams.

Students can get their Class 10 results delivered directly to their Android smartphones using Microsoft's "SMS Organizer", an Android app available for free download on Google Play Store.
