Can Only Intelligent Students Crack NEET?

This is the most common question for many NEET aspirants. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test commonly known as NEET is considered one of the most difficult examinations at the secondary level of education. Scoring cut-off marks in this common entrance exam is mandatory for the candidates who aim to get admission in either government or private medical colleges. Not only in India, but the candidates with good scores in NEET can also possess their medical education in some abroad countries such as Nepal.

Why is the NEET Exam Considered Difficult?

The NEET exam is similar to most of the other common entrance examinations. But, the number of candidates who appear for the NEET examination is twenty times more than the number of seats in medical colleges. This makes it difficult for the medical aspirants to qualify in the NEET examination and acquire admission in the medical institutions.

All these tags (Brillant, Average and Dumb) are just the names and these get associated with the students only when they put sincere efforts to excel in their studies. Always remember that immense hard work and dedication are imperative for any student to crack competitive exams. It doesn't matter whether you are an intelligent or average student. You can easily acquire distinction scores in any exam if you passionately and sincerely prepare for the exam and the NEET examination is no exception. You don’t require superintelligence to crack the NEET examination. So, instead of blindly joining the race, understand your positives and negatives, and accordingly plan your preparation schedule.

Focus on Topics with More Weightage

Instead of blindly going through all the topics included in the NEET syllabus 2021, focus more on the topics with more weightage. Understand the chapter-wise weightage for each section (Physics, Biology and Chemistry) in the NEET exam and create a defined and structured study plan. 

Do Not Neglect Class 11 and 12 Board Exams

A major portion of the NEET syllabus includes the topics from classes 11 and 12. So, if you prepare well for your board exams, it will help you improve your score in your NEET medical examination as the topics are almost the same. Dedicating at least 3-4 hours a day for revision and practice is necessary.

Revise Previous Papers

Revising NEET previous papers will be the saviour for NEET 2021 preparation. If you get repeated questions in the exam it's good. If not, the revision of previous papers helps you get the good practice you need for the NEET examination. It also helps you stick to the topics included in the NEET syllabus.
