BITS School of Management Partners with London Business School

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chancellor BITS Pilani and Chairman, Governing Council, BITSoM addressed the gathering virtually followed by François Ortalo-Magné, Dean of London Business School and then a live Q&A with Dr Ranjan Banerjee, Dean of BITSoM.

In the address, KM Birla announced the partnership and expressed the importance of having a global mindset. He stated that with this partnership they will be "creating global leaders and using management education as a force for good" and now are "adding a powerful new dimension— that of global exposure."

BITSoM students will now have the choice to undertake a specially curated 2-week immersion program at LBS. This is designed to be in line with embracing a global mindset, inspiring exploration and cross-cultural appreciation.

François Ortalo-Magné, Dean of London Business School, expressed, "Business impacts the world and the world impacts business." He further commented on the long-standing relationship between the UK and India and that of the two schools. Also, expressing the wish to encourage women leadership.

Dr Ranjan Banerjee, Dean of BITSoM expanded on the changes in the curriculum, stating the major change will occur with Analytics and Digital technology playing a more significant role in the course. Incorporating cross-cultural appreciation through language and setting equal importance to the strength of IQ and EQ, BITSOM and LBS intend to "interact with impact".
