The Bharti Airtel Foundation has launched a scholarship programme to provide over Rs 100+ cr annually to 4000 students enrolled in undergraduate/integrated tech courses in the Top 50 NIRF Engineering colleges. The programme covers 100 per cent college fees and laptops for Bharti Scholars, with the first batch supporting 250 students to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Bharti Airtel Foundation.
Bharti Airtel Foundation is launching a prestigious scholarship programme to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The programme, which focuses on girls, will support students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds pursuing Technology-based Engineering UG and integrated programmes in top 50 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) engineering colleges, including IITs. Starting with 250 students, the programme aims to scale up incrementally, reaching 4,000 scholars with an annual outlay of over Rs 100+ cr. The programme will apply to students eligible for admissions in August 2024.
The Bharti Airtel Scholarships aim to provide financial support to meritorious students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to access quality education. The scholarships will be provided to students with an annual family income of not exceeding Rs 8.5 lacs and focus on UG and integrated courses in Electronics & Communication, Telecom, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Data Sciences and Emerging Technologies at top 50 NIRF (Engineering) colleges. The scholarship recipients, known as 'Bharti Scholars', will receive 100 per cent of their college fees, a laptop, hostel and message fees. The scholarship also encourages Bharti Scholars to support at least one student voluntarily once they graduate and are gainfully employed. This initiative aims to shape lives and enable youth to participate in India's economic opportunities and growth.
