Ambuja Foundation Schools Wins ‘School Of Excellence’ Award

Ambuja Foundation announces that three supported schools in Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, have won the ‘School of Excellence’ award for 2023-24, with one school being enlisted under the prestigious PM SHRI scheme

Ambuja Foundation, an independent social development organisation, has awarded three schools in Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, the 'School of Excellence' award 2023-24. One of the winners is also enlisted under the PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme, which is sponsored by the Government of India. The enlisted school will receive INR 2 crore.

The Government Senior Secondary School Chandi in Arki block of Solan district has been selected as a PM SHRI School after meeting 60 parameters under the National Education Policy, 2020. Ambuja Foundation provided infrastructure support, sports playgrounds, sports materials, kitchen gardens and exposure visits. The funds will be used to develop solar panels, revamp the campus and promote sustainable practices. 

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Solan has awarded 'School of Excellence' awards to GCPS Darlaghat, GCPS Chandi and GSSS Chandi in Dhundan block, Solan. These schools were chosen for their academic and co-curricular achievements, while GSSS Chandi was recognised for its exceptional academic results, including students ranking among the top 10 at the state level.

The Ambuja Foundation supports 49 schools in Solan's Dhundan and Arki blocks by providing infrastructure and resources to improve learning environments. They also conduct awareness sessions on hygiene, water use efficiency, physical education and reading and build teacher capacity. The foundation conducts annual assessments to ensure consistent growth across all parameters, promoting a better learning environment for children.
