Aims’ Team Shortlisted For Sustainable Hospitality Challenge

The Sustainable Hospitality Challenge (SHC) is an initiative of Hotelschool The Hague. The Sustainable Hospitality Challenge aims to enhance the evolution of sustainable hospitality.

The only team from India comprises the students from AIMS, shortlisted for the semifinals in the 2023 edition which will be held in Amsterdam on June 21 and 22, 2023. Three students - Abhay R Thalanki from AIMS School of Business, Hari Krishna Denkala and Louis Kumar Sudeep from AIMS School of Hospitality and Tourism will be representing AIMS Institutes in the event. The theme for the competition is: 'One With Nature'.

The Sustainable Hospitality Challenge has until this year invited student teams from international hotel schools only to address a real-life case. Starting this year, their invitation has been extended to top-tier design, architecture and engineering schools around the globe. Teams will have the opportunity to synergise more across these important disciplines to create the 2023 Sustainable Hospitality Challenge’s winning concept.

In this competition, the participants from AIMS Institutes were given an opportunity to pitch their approach to the case to a jury consisting of A-level CEOs and Vice Presidents in the hospitality, design, architecture and engineering industries. The challenge took direction with sustainability as its recurring theme. To support and enhance the development of sustainability in the hospitality industry, it has gained a bigger platform and combined the best of innovation, sustainability and talent across different disciplines.
