Adda247 Visions To Take Quality Education And Effective Learning To The Last Mile

Adda 247, an education-technology platform, primarily focuses in providing access to quality education and training to each and every individual who aims to crack competitive examinations. The platform comprises of the updated syllabus of all the government and public sector examinations. Highlighting the target audience, Nagar said, “On a daily basis we have 1.5 million views on our video learning courses from various metro cities, Hyderabad being at the top followed by Patna, Delhi, Lucknow and Bhopal. 40% of our viewers come from tier 3 cities”.

Furthermore, he told that Adda247 has sub platforms such as Bankersadda.com & SSCadda.com where they provide free coaching so as to involve everyone.

When asked about his thoughts on the video learning aspect in India, Nagar said “Video learning is fastest growing segment within our company. From a student’s point of view, video learning is essential in providing quality education. With physical classroom teaching, it is difficult to maintain the same quality throughout each and every classroom, while our online vertical provides the same, best quality teaching to each”.

He also expressed that online learning is a cost-effective method as a student can watch and revise at any point of time. Also, he mentioned that it is very difficult to incorporate cost-effective teaching in a physical classroom in a tier 3 city as there are too many costs at hand which are necessary for consideration.

Describing his 5 year plan he said, “We have taken a calibrated approach and are including courses step by step and in about 3-4 years we will have all material for all sorts of examinations such as GRE, CAT, JEE and Medical”.

He also pointed out that Adda247 will be crossing 50 crore revenue mark this year and his 5 year plan is to reach 1000 crore in terms of revenue.

“We are second largest company in number of paid users with roughly 40,000 transactions a month without spending big amounts on digital marketing. We have built our brand by providing quality education and winning the trust of our users” he stated.

He also commented that the government has also played an important role in ensuring the last mile connectivity with projects such as Bharat Net.

Upon being asked about certain tips that digital learning can acquire from traditional classroom methods, he said “Most important aspect that online leaning should take from offline vertical is the integration of personal interaction, which plays a very important role in success of a student apart from the content. We also need to understand the psychological needs and requirements of a student in order for him/her to succeed”.
