Yocket Announces Free Counselling Services To Students Who Want To Study Abroad

As coronavirus now spreads across India and the government has also announced the lockdown in several states and have urged people to refrain from indulging in a gathering of a large number of people at any times and even the schools, colleges and universities have been shut down.

Keeping in this mind, now, Mumbai-based Ed-tech startup Yocket which provides one-stop solutions to the students who want to study abroad have today announced that from this week, they will provide access to the students whole over the world without any cost, since lakhs of candidates who have initiated the process of education abroad a year or a few months back are facing the major problem in getting the information about foreign universities, counselling services from the consultants/faculty. Yocket will be opening up a helpline where students can schedule a call with their advisors on any kind of issues they have. There are many students who are midway through their applications and now with uncertainty looming, we don't want them to panic.

The company has also decided to provide free webinar services to the International universities so that they can directly interact with the candidates and solve their queries and they could get best-fit students for their universities.

Having registered over 350,000 students, tied-up with above 100 international universities (US, Canada, UK and Hongkong), under this uncertain situation and keeping in mind students’ safety, the startup is providing the best services to the students right from GRE to shortlisting to VISA applications to a soft landing and also helping candidates with Loans, Forex and Accommodation.

Sumeet Jain, Co-founder, Yocket, “We have seen panic among students looking to study abroad. Many of the students were in the middle of their applications for the Fall 2020 season which would start in Sept 2020. If the students aren't able to complete their process they would end up wasting a year. We don't want that to happen. Even if the term starts online or a bit late, they would need to be prepared. We want to be sure that students don't waste this time in panic."

“The user can take the services from the website as well as a mobile application where most of the information is available at (Do It Yourself) DIY level and they can get personalized guidance from experienced counsellors” he added.

The company has also done a survey with the students where 69.9 per cent of the students who have initiated the process want to go ahead with preparation and wanted to get funds ready and around 19.48 per cent students said it is too early to decide, 9 per cent wants to defer the admission, 1 per cent wants to go ahead in India.
