Maharashtra Tops The Chart For Adoption Of Online Education Followed By Punjab And Delhi: Reports

Admission24, an EdTtech startup has recently done a survey on adoption of e-learning tools across the country amid the COVID19 outbreak. In the survey, Admission24 have got in touch with 500 educational Institutions from states including Maharashtra, Punjab Delhi NCR, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Chattisgarh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc.

According to the survey report, the maximum adoption of e-learning tools is happening in Maharashtra with 36 per cent followed by Punjab 27 per cent and Delhi/NCR with 12 per cent. The reason for higher adoption in these states is that parents and students were receptive to online education and adopted the shift conveniently. The report also highlighted that states like Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, etc are witnessing also catching up with the growing adoption of Online education. 

The survey stated that 80% of the educational institutions' demands for extensive digital transformation solution ensuring business continuity in the education sector rather than just a video conferencing solution.

Commenting on the same, Abhinav Sekhri, CEO & Founder, Admission24 stated, "The COVID19 has forced schools, coaching, and tuition centres to shut shop — leaving students with the only option of moving towards the virtual world to continue preparation and learning. The majority of EdTech companies have witnessed a massive surge in user onboarding — standing as an exception in an unsettled start-up economy. The initiatives like e-Vidhya by GOI is also opening new avenues EdTech Players, which will result in increasing adoption rate across the educational institutions with an adaptive and integrated system to make an extensive ecosystem of online learning. The penetration will increase even in the remote part of the country. Also, the schools and colleges that have already been working on the e-learning method will focus on ease, convenience, engagement, and affordability"

The report also highlighted that post the outbreak of COVID19, colleges and universities have witnessed a surge in the queries for Vocational Courses as compared to the management and traditional courses by students and parents.
