JMI to organise free online Liftoff Programme for Start-ups

Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jamia Millia Islamia organises a 14-week free online LIFTOFF PROGRAMME for Start-up Founders in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, a global non-profit organisation. This collaborative initiative aims to provide support, knowledge and resources to early-stage startups.

Key features of the program include:

Seed Capital Access: Guidance on securing seed capital, including training in pitching techniques, refining business models and connecting with potential investors.

Mentorship: Personalised guidance and insights by mentors and industry experts.

Education and Training: A series of workshops, expert sessions and solution kits including but not limited to business strategy, marketing, and financial management.

Networking Opportunities: Creating opportunities for collaboration and growth by connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders.

Incubation Support: Selected startups will have the opportunity to hone their skills in pitching boot camps and access to the network of investors in the programme.

The registration period for this program begins on October 6, 2023, and will remain open until October 22, 2023. During the week of October 23 to 27, 2023, a screening process will take place to select promising startups. 

Selected startups will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one meetings from November 1 to 4, 2023, to discuss their ideas and business plans with experts and potential investors. Following this, the onboarding process will occur from November 6 to 10, 2023, to prepare the chosen startups for the program.

The official start of the Liftoff program's Cohort Orientation is scheduled for November 13, 2023. This program offers valuable guidance, mentorship, and support to help early-stage startups reach new heights in their entrepreneurial journey.
