IIIT Delhi To Hold Convocation On 27 Oct

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is pleased to announce its 12th convocation ceremony scheduled for 27 October 2023. This event will witness the conferment of degrees upon 715 students who have completed their undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes.

The ceremony will graduates from diverse disciplines, including BTech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Design, Computer Science and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Biosciences and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, MTech graduates in Computer Science and Engineering, Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computational Biology, along with PhD recipients in Computational Biology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Human-Centered Design, Mathematics and Social Sciences and Humanities, will be recognised for their academic achievements. The inaugural class of the BTech CSAI programme is set to graduate this year. With this graduating cohort, the institute's tally of PhD recipients will reach 126, contributing to a growing alumni network that will soon surpass 4000 members.

Sunil Kumar Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise, will grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. The ceremony will also be attended by esteemed guests, including Chancellor, LG, Vinai Kumar Saxena; Ranjan Bose, Director, IIIT-Delhi and Kiran Karnik, Chairman, Board of Governors, who will preside over the ceremony, along with faculty members.

During the event, IIIT Delhi will acknowledge the outstanding academic achievements of its students through various awards and medals. Recipients will be honoured with accolades such as the Chancellor's Gold Medal, Institute Silver Medals, All Round Performance Medals, Best BTP Awards, Gold Medal for Excellent Academic Performance in MTech, Best MTech Thesis Award and PhD Dissertation Awardees.
