Google Cloud, Chatgpt Most Demanded Skill Learning Courses: Report

Udemy released its second quarter report recently which shows Google Cloud has the highest demand in skill learning courses followed by ChatGPT. The company revealed the data in its Q2 Learning Index 2023. The Index highlights a significant increase in the demand for certain skills among learners in India and around the world, particularly in the fields of technology and professional development. 

With an increase of 515 percent in demand, Google Cloud has topped the list. This is popular among professionals as it helps them learn efficient data management, scalable solutions and innovative business operations amid digital transformation.  

ChatGPT has emerged as a significant theme with an increase of 504 percent, marking the second largest jump in course consumption among Indian learners. Having 272,000+ enrollments out of 1.6 million learners around the globe, the course has seen popularity in the country.  

Design Thinking has emerged as the third most demanded course with 145 percent increase in demand among professionals. 

Vinay Pradhan, Country Manager for Udemy India, emphasised that it is important for professionals to be equipped with ongoing skills. He suggested that both businesses and individuals should prioritise identifying skill deficiencies and providing customised learning experiences. This approach enables employees to harness cutting-edge technologies, ultimately improving customer experiences, fostering innovation, and opening doors to new growth prospects.
