Boeing India Invites Applications For BUILD 2023-24

Boeing India has launched the third edition of Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) programme. They are inviting applications for 2023-24 from university students and early-stage startups in India.

“Every year, BUILD brings people, ideas, technologies, and processes together to nurture solutions that are viable and critical for the country. At Boeing, we are committed to contributing to the fast-growing startup ecosystem in India, and helping it harness many possibilities through the bright young minds of today,” Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India said. 

Boeing has partnered with seven incubators to organise BUILD in India. These incubators include the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Mumbai, the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer at IIT Delhi, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre at IIT Gandhinagar, the IIT Madras Incubation Cell, the Society for Innovation and Development at IISC Bengaluru, the T-Hub Hyderabad, and the Technology Business Incubator at KIIT Bhubaneshwar.

The applicants can submit ideas in the field of aerospace and defence, technology, social impact and sustainability. Shortlisted teams will be mentored by Boeing experts and incubator mentors to refine and convert ideas to viable business offerings. Finalists will present their ideas to experts on Boeing Immersion Day which is scheduled to be held in Q1 2024. Seven Winners, from across the incubators, will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakh.

I am excited to see how ideas from ground up are nurtured, built, and sustained here, and the valuable results of enhanced interaction between our engineers, technologists, and the student and start-up community.”
