Sophia, World’s First Robot With Citizenship To Be Interviewed At Techfest, IIT-Bombay

IIT Bombay’s annual technology festival Techfest welcomes over 1,60,000 attendees and sees a participation of over 2500 colleges across the country and over 500 colleges globally. This year however the festival organizers have planned to make it bigger than ever. Sophia the humanoid robot who received a citizenship from Saudi Arabia will be a speaker at one of the many events at Techfest. This will be her first time in India. 

Apart from Sophia, who already has over 66.5K followers, the other prominent speakers include, George Varghese, Principal Researcher at Microsoft, Tanmay Bakshi, World’s youngest IBM Watson developer, Randy Schekman, Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine and Randy Schekman, an eminent American cell biologist at University of California to name a few.
