Satesh Bidaisee is a Professor of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies at St. George’s University. He has previously held positions at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and the Ministry of Health in Trinidad and Tobago. Prof. Bidaisee is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences, St. Augustine, Trinidad, St. George’s University, School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies and the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. As a research investigator, Prof. Bidaisee supports community based participatory research and service activities along his interests which include Emerging Infectious Diseases, Zoonoses, Food Safety and Food Security and the pursuit of the One Health One Medicine concept. Prof. Bidaisee’s research projects include Human Behavior, Climate Change and Viral Infections, Zoonoses and One Health and Vector Borne Disease outbreak investigation. Prof. Bidaisee is board certified by the United States National Board of Public Health Examiners, and holds Fellowships to the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH), Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (FRSTMH), International Society on Infectious Diseases and the Society of Biology.
