Top Education Brand Awards Presented At The BW Education’s Leadership Summit 2019

The BW Education Leadership Awards, besides  these were given out to 29 winners, at a full house function on 14th January 2019, in Mumbai. 

The awards giving event was the culmination of BW Education’s whole day Education Leadership Summit 2019,   where top educationists and academicians  from all over India assembled  to deliberate and discuss issues on broad scale upgrading of education at all levels – schools, colleges, and higher and technical education. The theme sessions at the Summit ranged from Models of Learning Needed, Establishing and Maintaining your USP, Changing Times and Education administration, Investing in Education, Emerging Trends, and to Becoming Effective Leaders in Driving Shifts for Results.  Each of the session had a panel discussion with the prominent thought leaders sharing their views and experiences on the verticals and topics assigned to them.

The Top Education Brands awards were given on the basis of prior nominations received from all over India. The final winners were then selected by a prominent Jury, in New Delhi on 8th January, comprising Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, Dr. Pritam Singh, Chairman LEAD, Dr. S S Mantha, Former Chairman of AICTE, Dr. Kavita Agarwal, Chairperson, Members of International Schools Association, Dr. Lata Vaidyanathan, Director, TERI Prakriti School, and Mr. Dilip Puri, Founder & CEO of Indian School of Hospitality.

The Ed-Tech awards were selected within education categories and verticals of  institution building, such as Curriculum and Pedagogy, Learning Outcomes, Collaborations, Career Inspiration, Placements, Training & Development, Green School, Franchising, and overall Innovation and Excellence. The categories also included special awards for the Star School of the Year, Star Higher Education Group of the Year, Star Principal of the Year, and the Distinguished Educator Award.

Speaking at the beginning of the BW Education Leadership Awards function, Hoshie Ghaswalla, Senior Vice President, of the Business World Group, outlined the objectives, motivations and rationale behind the awards instituted by BW Education. 

He said he personally will like to see two things happening: Education becoming more exciting and enhance syllabuses to be better for student careers and life.

He explained the BW Education Leadership Awards, in their second year, were all about how the education ecosystem can be enhanced. Recognising contributors who help the students do better, and do better for their future! They were also in a way a voice in improving the policy making. They were a motivation and inspiration in dealing with youth, and in helping those behind education to be more productive and accountable.
