Post-COVID Education Reform In Indian Universities

As COVID-19 changed the world we used to live in, creating a “new normal” which is not yet so clearly defined because, to be honest, we don’t know much about it. Many sectors and pillars of the corporate and society have been shaken by this pandemic and the education industry is one of the greatest affected ones. Schools and colleges are still closed and would be the last ones to get opened until the COVID settles.

What can Indian colleges do to set up an intense year ahead? Especially, what would they be able to do to turn into a solid and advancing spot for understudies who may remain in the nation rather than going abroad for advanced education?

  1. Digital Adoption

It is turning out to be progressively evident that worldwide instruction and institutional cooperation – or even semester-long examination abroad encounters – are going to appear to be unique for in any event the following scarcely any years. For a certain period of time, the universal experience may need to turn into a blend of different things – transient visits by understudies and workforce, online coordinated efforts, digitally empowered sharing of libraries and files, group showed courses by means of advanced coordinated efforts, online courses riding various time regions and a scope of different measures.

  1. Training Teachers in a very different manner

All the instructors should be prepared for web-based education too. This will go far to guarantee that they are alright with innovation and will have the option to flawlessly switch among the online and offline methods of showing the educational plan. Or more all, educators will feel enabled to convey a more significant lecture than previously.

  1. Use of AI to cater to every individual of the class

AI is offering help everywhere and education doesn’t seem to be out of the AI wave.

Teachers should dispose of the 'one-size-fits-all' approach that is generally followed in the conventional approach and use innovation to offer a learning experience that is extraordinarily fit to a kid's adapting needs. The mixed way to deal with learning thusly will help a wide range of understudies, since they will have the chance to draw in with various kinds of attributes, for example, video, audio, presentations, in this way expanding the capacity to customize learning.

  1. Paramount of creativity will go into providing an interactive learning experience

The Ed-Tech wave is all about providing the same classroom interaction in front of a laptop/mobile screen. The ways to do these are still mostly undiscovered and assembling all this into a new way of teaching is a challenge. But the administration will have to make sure that enough personal engagement between a student and a teacher is present so that challenges, progress, and feedback could be properly channelized

  1. Not only the curriculum, but emotional education is also needed

Mental health has been a talk of the town since lockdown was imposed and we were forced to remain isolated in our homes, away from our normal routine. If we have to continue education on online platforms, the teacher has to look after the emotional health of his students too. To check with a 1:1 whether he/she is able to cope up with the studies among pandemic is the student-facing any personal challenges, could the school/college do anything to solve the issue being faced by him/her.
